Less than 200 km south of Paris, nestling between the cities of Tours and Blois, is a haven of poetry. Kawan Village la Grande Tortue is a site for families with plenty to keep children entertained. However 2 evenings a week the bar terrace is transformed into a stage, offering concerts, shows etc for the whole family. The Loire Valley is perfect for cycling. The area around the camp site offers no less than 300 km of way marked tracks between the chateaux and charming local villages. Candé sur Beuvron is on the long distance cycle track ‘la Loire à Vélo’ which crosses France for the west to the east. From the site a signposted cycle track takes you to Chaumont, Blois and Chambord.
